3 New NPWP FormatsAccording to the old setkab.go.id, there are three new NPWP formats based on the PMK.
1. Individual taxpayers (WP OP) who are residents use NIK. Residents are Indonesian citizens and foreigners residing in Indonesia.
2. For non-resident WP OP, corporate taxpayers, and government agency taxpayers, use NPWP in 16 (sixteen) digits format.
3. For branch taxpayers, use the Identity Number of the Place of Business Activities.

However, as of December 31, 2023, the new NPWP format is still being used for limited tax administration services. One of them is to be able to login to the tax.go.id application.
